Gwinnett Braves
A big thank you to the Gwinnett Braves and especially Jim and Julia Hall for arranging the drumline performance at the game of the Gwinnett Braves.  A great time was had by all!  Thanks to everyone who attended and supported the drumline.  We will be doing this again with the entire band in August - more details will be coming this summer.





 

Registration Needed for 2009 - 10 Season!
Band Camp Packets will be coming in the mail soon but we don't have everyone's registration form for the upcoming season, which means we don't have all the names to send packets!! If you have not filled out a registration form stating that you will be in the marching band next year then we need your help (new and returning marchers included).  Please print out the registration form and send it in to the PO Box listed on the top of the form.  It is important that you fill out this form & mail it in as soon as poosible!  Mr. T cannot design a show if he does not know how many students are participating – he has already started this process.  This is also important for our countless volunteers who need to know how many mouths to feed during camp, etc.  So, please do your part and get your forms in now and encourage your friends to do the same.

Band Facebook for Current Band Students a Facebook has been set up for the band to distribute information (because so many of our students do not check their email accounts).  This Facebook is for one-way communication > to the students.  This information will be the same as what is sent out in email to the parents.  Emails will continue to go to parents and students.  If we need to add your email to our distribution list, please email request (along with your name/student name) to: debby_d@bellsouth.net

To access this, students must login to their Facebook account click Search (top left corner) type in> DHS Band News - click 1st link (drawing of wildcat).  If students join they will receive notification of postings.

(This is by no means pushing students to use Facebook.  The emails will continue to go to all parent and student accounts we have on file.  This is just another method to enhance communication.)
